The popular Monterey Bay car show Cherry’s Jubilee Motorsports Festival is back this weekend! For four days, classic cars, hot rods, and motorcycles parade down Monterey County's most scenic roads and show off in neighborhoods like Oldtown Salinas, Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row and downtown Pacific Grove. On Friday night participating autos display their wheels in downtown Monterey along Alvarado Street and the Waterfront Parking Lot at Fisherman’s Wharf. Saturday’s events include a Poker Run and car exhibits on Cannery Row and in Pacific Grove. On the final day of the Jubilee, there will be a special pancake breakfast and awards at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Wednesday-Sunday. Monterey County.
Athletes from around the world will flock to Pacific Grove this weekend to participate in the Triathlon at Pacific Grove. Spectators can watch as the skilled contenders swim, bike and run their way through the picturesque course. There will also be a Sports Expo held throughout the weekend where amateurs and elites can pick up the latest sports gear. Friday-Sunday. Lovers Point Park, Pacific Grove.
This weekend you might ask yourself: am I in Monterey or Florence? The Custom House Plaza in downtown Monterey will transform into an Italian wonderland for the 78th Festa Italia. Amazing food booths will be selling all things Italia including cannolis, pasta, pizza, gelato and wine! Don’t miss another great showing of Annie the Musical at the Outdoor Forest Theatre in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The entire family will love the classic story of orphan Annie and how she went from a hard-knock life to living with billionaire Daddy Warbucks. 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday and 2 pm on Sunday. Charming Carmel-by-the-Sea will delight both tourists and locals with another Concert in Carmel. Carmel Plaza will host R&B and soul band B.T.A, otherwise known as Back Together Again. As the name suggests the six band mates, who previously performed together for 20 years, are back at it and hitting up the Monterey Bay scene one gig at time. For those who purchase a food/beverage ticket, the event will be paired with wine tastings from Scheid Vineyards, beer tastings from Peter B’s Brewpub and food samples from Bistro Beaujolais. 5pm-7pm, Ocean Avenue & Mission Street, Carmel. Listen to R&B and soul music tonight at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. Lara Price will captivate the audience with her energetic and sultry stage presence. 5pm-9pm, 400 Cannery Row, Monterey.
The quaint Victorian town of Pacific Grove will stay up past its bed time for the monthly Wine, Art and Music Walk. Participating business in downtown Pacific Grove will keep their doors open to show off some of the finest local art and wine. Pick up maps at the local Chamber of Commerce. 6pm-9pm, Lighthouse Avenue, Pacific Grove. Free admission.
The Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea presents an Evening with Chris Botti. The best selling American jazz instrumental artist is a master composer and trumpeter. Chris has worked and performed with the best in the business including Josh Groban, Michael Buble and Andrea Bocelli. 8pm, San Carlos Street at Ninth Avenue, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $69-$99.
Firefly will light up the night at Bullwacker's! The group of locals will be jamming classic rock tunes throughout the night on the patio. 8:30pm, 653 Cannery Row, Monterey. Free admission.
