The Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau has adopted a beach! Lovers Point Park is one of Monterey County's most beautiful beaches, and we are proud to volunteer our efforts in maintaining it. On April 2, 2009, our team went out to Lovers Point Park to make sure it was spotless. We had help from volunteers from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fandango Restaurant, Rapid Printers, the Embassy Suites, Casa Munras and a number of other locals. Passionfish donated fruit to feed our hungry volunteers. Thanks to everyone for turning out! The Monterey Bay Aquarium sent over a dedicated team of volunteers. Pictured are Mimi Hahn, Amber Bonanfant, Bernadette Esquilin, Ileana Ortega, Dana Demina, Kim Murphy, Brigid E. Kennedy, and Linda Castillo. We were as surprised as anyone when this seal turned up to lend a
hand flipper. He was great at checking out the places no one else could reach.
The Casa Munras crew expresses their joy at a job well done. From left to right, Jason Webb, Susan Villani, Russ Stark and Heather Cunha.
We cleaned it from top to bottom!
See our Flickr set for more photos of our cleanup.
