Are you a cycling fan? Then clear off your schedule for April 14-17 for the Sea Otter Classic! We're giving away tickets!
What is the Sea Otter Classic?
The Sea Otter Classic is a great experience for intense athletes and laid-back recreational bikers alike. Type A cyclists can race for the prize in epic mountain bike events throughout the Laguna Seca Recreation Area or road races on the world-famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and trails and streets of Monterey County. If you like a more social style of cycling, there's several long bike rides along some of Monterey County's most beautiful roads and trails.
Activities for Kids
Kids twelve and under can test their mettle in the Kids Bike Play Zone, set up especially for them to learn mountain biking skills, or experience the thrill of competition in the kids races. There's also great carnival rides, an egg hunt and the chance to try out new bikes and tricycles in the Sea Otter Village. (Don't worry, Mom and Dad, you can try out a new bike too!)
On Sunday, April 17, the Sea Otter Classic celebrates women who cycle with the first ever Ladies Day. All women and girls can enter the Sea Otter Classic festival for free on Sunday. The day will include a seminar on the nuances of women's bike fit, a panel discussion on how to design bikes and gear to fit women's bodies and needs, as well as seminars on bike maintenance and cleaning and nutrition, as well as a road ride and a mountain bike skills clinic.
One Of the Biggest Consumer Bike Expos In the World!
Okay, admit it...maybe you're into cycling just so you can show off all your cool new gear and clothes. You're guaranteed to find bikes, accessories and clothes that will make your fellow cyclists green with envy at the Sea Otter Classic Expo. Over 235 vendors selling everything from bikes to clothes to lights to sport nutrition and more will bring their booths to the Sea Otter Classic Expo. If you can't find it here, it probably doesn't exist!
