WELCOME TO THE COMMUNITY CONNECTION

Brought to you by the Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau

MONTEREY COUNTY WINTER STORMS

On January 28, a portion of Highway 1 was damaged near Rat Creek at Mile Marker 30, south of Esalen. Highway 1 remains closed from South Coast Center near Post Mile 34 (South of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park) to Willow Creek Road at Post Mile 11.2.. Click here for map of evacuations zones and road closures.
Monterey County’s hospitality industry has mobilized to support the community as new evacuation orders were announced for areas impacted from burn scars during 2020’s wildfire season. Hotels have quickly come together to offer assistance to those impacted in both Monterey County and Santa Cruz County through providing discounted rates to those in need of lodging. Click here for list of lodging resources.
