    You're invited to our celebration! We will be celebrating Cesar Chavez Day by inviting volunteers all over Salinas and the surrounding areas in a cleanup and planting! Cesar Chavez was an American activist who took action for the rights of farm workers who were working under harsh working conditions. We will be celebrating his 92nd birthday by cleaning up and planting on a park dedicated to him in Salinas.

    Everyone is welcome to this family friendly FREE event.

    All Tools, water, and light snacks provided. Wear sturdy footwear and plenty of layers. Bring your community service forms to earn hours.

    Directions: N. Hebbron Ave. Salinas, CA 93905. Follow the blue Return of the Natives signs.

    *Volunteer groups of 10 or more please RSVP. *

    *If under the age of 18 please have your parent or guardian sign a waiver prior to the event. Visit and find the waiver under One-Time/Drop-in volunteer.

    *Weather Policy: The event will be postponed only if it is raining hard on the day of the event. Event postponement will be posted on our website, our Facebook page, and a voicemail recording on the 831-582-3686 line by 830am on the day of the event.
