Join us for the Grand Opening of Edi Matsumoto Art & Design Gallery, followed by the Monterey High School AMP Academy Art Festival. These events promise to be an inspiring showcase of local talent, visual arts, music, and more.

  Event 1: Edi Matsumoto Art & Design Gallery Grand Opening

  What: Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Celebration

  Where: Edi Matsumoto Art & Design Gallery, Mission St. between 5th and 6th Ave., Carmel-by-the-Sea

  Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of the Edi Matsumoto Art & Design Gallery! After almost 30 years in healthcare on the Monterey Peninsula, Edi Matsumoto has embraced her passion for art and invites you to explore her eclectic collection. The gallery features her unique visual and wearable art, with a special focus on her latest series, “Otter Therapy,” which features charming sea otters within classic paintings or as beloved celebrities.

  The evening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony sponsored by the Carmel Chamber of Commerce, followed by an evening of food, wine, and live music. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet the artist and experience the joy and whimsy of her work in person.
