Enjoy a fun free birthday party with beautiful views of the beautiful Monterey Bay!Fisherman's Wharf Association is holding its FREE annual Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf 179th Birthday Celebration for all ages at historic Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, California, on Sunday, October 8th.
Among many other fun activities and live music, there will be the first ever Candy Crawl on the Wharf. For the first 179 visitors (commemorating the 178th anniversary of the Wharf), they can go and get a free piece of candy at the three candy shops on the Wharf: Candy World, Wharf Chocolate Factory and Carousel Candies.
Here’s the details of the birthday party you won’t want to miss…
When: Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.Where: Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf (GPS to 101 Washington Street, Monterey, CA)
What: This FREE family-friendly event will feature an array of fun activities:
• Live entertainment by The Money Band from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
• Master of Ceremonies and Radio Personality, David Marzetti
• Free Wharf Sealife-themed Birthday Cake at the Wharf Tent (in front of Abalonetti Bar & Grill) at 3:30 pm

David Marzetti, MC of the Wharf Birthday Party, comes from a radio background that spans over 45 years. He currently hosts a radio show every weekday 3-6p. On Saturday mornings, for 21 years, he has hosted the “ShagBag Show” from the Del Monte Golf Club and “Sundays with Sinatra”: Live from Old Fisherman’s Wharf every Sunday morning. All of David’s shows are heard on 1240am/95.9fm KMBY. He is highly regarded as “Monterey’s Emcee” and hosts many local functions and fundraisers including Festa Italia, Santa Rosalia Queen’s Coronation Ball, La Merienda: the City of Monterey’s Annual Birthday Celebration, Old Fisherman’s Wharf’s Annual Birthday Party, the City of Monterey’s 4th of July Celebration at City Hall, and the Italian Heritage Society Awards Ceremony. David is a frequent Winner of BEST TV/RADIO PERSONALITY in the Monterey Herald Readers Poll. A 3-time winner of the PGA Media Person of the Year Award.
