Café Carmel is pleased to host a solo exhibition featuring the work of acclaimed Carmel-based artist Edi Matsumoto throughout Summer 2025. The public is warmly invited to attend the opening reception and enjoy small bites prepared by Café Carmel and sip wines from local DeTierra Winery.

Wine will be available by the glass with a minimum donation of $5.00 or more to Peace of Mind Dog Rescue. All proceeds benefit this local nonprofit dedicated to finding lifelong homes for senior dogs and dogs with special needs.

About the Artist
Born and raised in Japan, Edi Matsumoto was inspired by her maternal great-grandfather, a traditional Japanese artist. Her realist works have been recognized with numerous awards and have appeared in national and international galleries and museums. Her art has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector and Leonardo Guía de Art y Artistas. In 2024, she opened her own studio/gallery/boutique on Mission Street in Carmel and launched her line of wearable art.
