Salinas Tree For Peace Lighting Ceremony

" Kick off the holiday season with us in Downtown Salinas! "

After a festive day of shopping during Shop Small Saturday, join us for the annual Salinas Tree for Peace Lighting Ceremony! Cozy up with a FREE* cup of hot cocoa from Brewjee Coffee Company or Starbucks Taylor Farms, and gather at CSUMB @ Salinas City Center (Steinbeck Center) for an evening of holiday cheer!

Fun for All Ages:
While we wait for the Salinas Fire Department to light the tree, kids can enjoy a special holiday craft station, courtesy of the Arts Council for Monterey County, plus magical visits with Santa and his helpful elf! Enjoy seasonal performances from YOSAL, Ariel Theatrical, and more!

When:

Activities Begin at 4PM: Crafting, performances, and a chance to visit with Santa!
Tree Lighting at 5PM: Witness the Salinas Tree for Peace come to life!
Once the tree is aglow, stick around to share your wish list with Santa and snap a festive photo in front of the lit-up Salinas Tree for Peace.

... Santa Alert!
Santa will be making an early stop downtown to visit shoppers from 2-4PM before the big ceremony! Catch him for a cheerful hello and head to the tree lighting for even more holiday magic.

We can’t wait to celebrate "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" with you!

Note: Select Downtown coffee shops will be handing out hot cocoa to kids from 2-5PM on Saturday, November 30th.
