  Two beloved hospitality icons will join forces on Thursday, Oct. 10, for a culinary journey that combines gourmet food, exquisite wines and rich local history.
  
  Tarpy’s and Bernardus Winery come together for an exclusive six-course tasting menu at the historical Ryan Ranch homestead built-in 1917 and the home to Tarpy's since 1992. Founded by celebrated businessman and bon vivant Ben Pon in 1999, Bernardus has redefined winemaking and viticulture in Monterey County.
  
  The inaugural Wine Dinner Series event begins with cocktails at 4:45 p.m., followed by the tasting meal at 5:45 p.m., from Tarpy’s Executive Chef Luis Osorio and Sous Chef Hedi Guadarrama. Guests will taste hand-selected wines presented by a special guest from Bernardus.
  
  The menu includes the following:
  
  Oysters Rockefeller, Blue Point Oysters with Champagne hollandaise sauce. Wine: Bernardus Sauvignon Blanc
  Figs & Butter Leaf, figs, goat cheese, blood orange dressing. Wine: Bernardus Coteaux D'aix en Provence
  Intermezzo, lemon, mint, jalapeno granita. Drink: Vodka — Bernardus Chardonnay
  Alaskan Halibut, sous-vide, ratatouille, lobster-caviar sauce. Wine: Bernardus Rosella’s Single Vineyard Chardonnay
  Filet Mignon, pomme puree, root vegetables, huckleberry sauce. Wine: Bernardus Marinus
  Peppermint Chocolate Truffle. Wine: Bernardus Cabernet Sauvignon
