Seaside Beach at Monterey State Beach

Seaside Beach is the northernmost of three separate sections of Monterey State Beach. It is a great place for flying kites, watching paragliders launch and searching for sea glass or other treasures. The parking lot for Seaside Beach is on the north side of the Monterey Tides Hotel at the end of Canyon Del Rey Boulevard. Take the Seaside exit off Highway 1 and drive toward the ocean to get here. The hotel restaurant is conveniently located next to the beach if you want to spend the entire day here. The Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail runs behind the beach and extends south to downtown Monterey and north through Sand City into Marina, CA.
