With over 200 hotels to choose from, Monterey County boasts an abundance of conference locations, but the recent refresh of Embassy Suites Monterey Bay Seaside – a multi-million-dollar renovation – gives meeting planners a variety of reasons to host their business retreat, trip or conference at the property. A lot of open space, however, is just one of many offerings that should be on your radar:

1. A revamped interior

Guests will be able to find the coastal landscape both outside and in. A sea-inspired palette of sand, gray, blue and turquoise decorate the wall and floors. Local artwork and textured furnishings also evoke the light and breezy feel of the Pacific Ocean, blending both modern and nautical styles. More images here.

2. Over 16,000 square feet of space

Large and small business gatherings alike can take place throughout the hotel. The atrium is now all on one level, creating an inviting and open floorplan that flows directly into the restaurant and lounge. Two ballrooms break into 10 sections with ceilings up to 14 feet, yet there are also three smaller spaces for board meetings, which feature upgraded internet capabilities, ceiling mounter projectors and drop-down screens.

3. On-site dining options

If short on time, Silver Tide Bar & Grill offer quick, tasty bites. Guests staying for more than one day can enjoy complimentary made-to-order breakfasts in the morning and evening receptions with creative cocktails and snacks at night.

4. Team bonding amenities

Stress can be relieved at either the indoor pool, fitness center or neighboring golf courses, while team bonding activities can take place at tourist destinations just a short distance away. Groups can get together at Old Fisherman’s Wharf for dining, shopping and whale watching; visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium to check out the living kelp forest; or head over to Cannery Row for fun such as laser tag, wine tasting, kayaking and stand-up paddling.
