Monterey Peninsula Art Forum

More than 30 local artists show their work at Monterey Peninsula Art Forum (MPAF) Gallery, located on historic Cannery Row. Visitors find the right size souvenir painting to tuck in their luggage. They also enjoy shopping for jewelry and cards. Locals stop by regularly to browse our ever-changing selection of original art. Original new works are always coming in and the whole gallery show changes 4 times each year. MPAF artists staff the gallery and can answer your questions.

MPAF Gallery is a short walk from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and diagonally across from the Monterey Plaza Hotel. It is across the street from Chart House restaurant. A memorial to pioneering marine biologist Doc Ricketts is a block from the gallery on the recreation trail that runs along the coast.

Available art is arranged attractively in a redwood building with a historic past. Originally the building was a carriage house when there were canneries on Cannery Row. Many scenes from the 1952 black and white movie "Clash by Night", starring Barbara Stanwyck, Paul Douglas, and Marilyn Monroe were shot at what is now the second floor of the building.
