Monterey Zoo is a unique zoological experience, centrally located off the Monterey-Salinas Highway.  You will come closer to wild and exotic animals at Monterey Zoo than in most other zoos.  Home to 100+ exotic animals, many of the zoo’s animals have extremely close and personal relationships with their handlers and trainers which they are able to share with visitors. The zoo runs a full-time educational program that touches thousands of children and adults annually, both on and off the property.  Full contact experiences with the animals are available by appointment.  Vision Quest Safari B&B, a one of a kind safari style overnighting alternative, is also available on the property - the perfect complement to an already unique zoological experience.
