Smooth Coffee Co. is a specialty roaster on a mission to "Make Specialty Coffee Accessible to Anyone". They are a sustainable, community-driven brand dedicated to establishing California's Central Coast as a specialty coffee destination.
Smooth launched in March of 2025 and continues to operate in a historic family boathouse originally owned by owner/roaster Noah Reeves' great-grandfather Sal Colletto. The business has since grown to become the pre-eminent specialty roaster, supplying some of the most well known cafes and restaurants on the Monterey Peninsula including Counterpoint Coffee, Casanova, and the Michelin starred Chez Noir.
Smooth's specialty coffee offerings are sold in untreated, unbleached paper canisters with a un-attached plastic liner, ensuring all aspects of the packaging are entirely and easily compostable and recyclable, minimizing the carbon impact of the packaging. Smooth also offers a refill program with canisters, incentivized by a $5 refill discount, minimizing their overall contribution to the waste stream. This, combined with all-electric Valenta series roaster from the American manufacturer Coffee Crafters, distinguishes Smooth as the most sustainable coffee roasting company in Monterey County.
Smooth Coffee also offers a number of free services to all of their wholesale service partners including recipe development and staff education regardless of order volume or frequency. This not only to ensures our partners' guests receive the best coffee experience possible, but also helps to realize their vision of establishing Monterey County and the Central Coast of California as a specialty coffee destination.
