Big Sur Foragers Festival

BIG SUR, Calif. — The Big Sur Foragers Festival returns January 22–25, 2026, bringing together chefs, foragers, winemakers and nature enthusiasts for a four-day celebration of wild mushrooms, culinary creativity and community impact — all benefiting the Big Sur Health Center.

This year’s festival arrives during what experts are calling one of the most robust mushroom growth seasons in recent memory, thanks to early rains and ideal winter conditions across the Big Sur region.

Festival highlights include the popular Fungus Face-Off tasting event and limited-capacity Wild Foraging Walk & Talk hikes, both of which are now on sale via Eventbrite.

Participating restaurants and beverage partners include Fernwood, Big Sur Lodge, The Pocket, Julia’s Vegetarian, Terry’s Restaurant + Lounge, Post Ranch, Wrath, Morgan, El Vaquero, Flywheel, Scheid, Joyce Wine Company, Bitter Ginger and Martha’s Hopyard.

Edible Monterey Bay returns as media sponsor and judge panel, with Jeff White of KRML serving as emcee.

Proceeds from the Big Sur Foragers Festival support the Big Sur Health Center, which provides essential medical services to residents and workers throughout the Big Sur community.
