On March 5, the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History will hold their first History on Tap of 2026 from 5:30-7:30 to discuss some of the women who shaped that legacy with local experts. Guests will enjoy hearing about historical women and the impacts they had on the county by Kathryn McKenzie, local historian, writer, and co-author of the book Humbled: How Californias Monterey Bay Escaped Industrial Ruin, and Dr. Stephen Palumbi, Jane & Marshall Steel Jr. Professor at Stanfords Hopkins Marine Lab and author of numerous books including The Death & Life of Monterey Bay: A Story of Revival, Population Explosion, and Extreme Life at Sea.
