Research shows that dance can boost memory, spark creativity, lift your mood, and even help prevent cognitive decline and dementia.
The session begins with a short, clear and engaging talk on the science of movement and aging, followed by a gentle, accessible movement practice. No dance experience is needed, and all activities can be adapted for any level of mobility.
This introductory class is just the beginning! A regular series of classes will follow, each focused on using dance and movement to support wellness and quality of life.
Blair Cronin is a Monterey Peninsula native and the founder of Groove Carmel, a community-based dance program that offers classes in a variety of locations for dancers of all ages and levels.
