In one of Shakespeare's final comedies we are taken to a wild, magical island where Prospero and his infant daughter Miranda were shipwrecked decades ago by Prospero's scheming brother Antonio; so that Antonio would come to power. With his own magical arts, and the powers of his servants Ariel and Caliban, Prospero shipwrecks his brother, several nobles and a patchwork of servants on the island he now rules, plotting his revenge.
But when drunken servant Stephano fools unhappy Caliban into thinking Stephano's a powerful wizard, (now grown) Miranda encounters young prince Ferdinand, and the nobles begin plotting against each other Prospero must rethink his plans.
