Samantha Bee has become one of televisions most distinctive and sharp-witted comedic voices. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, she began her career with the all-female sketch troupe The Atomic Fireballs before joining The Daily Show in 2003 as part of its Best F#@king News Team. Over 12 years, she became the shows longest-serving correspondent.
In 2016, Bee launched her own late-night series, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, on TBS. The shows bold, satirical approach to current events and underreported stories earned critical acclaim and a loyal following throughout its seven-season run. Praised by The New York Times for her fiery and fierce delivery, Bee brought a fresh and fearless voice to the male-dominated late-night landscape.
Bee is also the author of the essay collection I Know I Am, But What Are You?, host of the podcast Full Release, and co-creator (with husband Jason Jones) of the TBS comedy The Detour. In 2018, she founded Swimsuit Competition, a production company dedicated to developing inclusive, narrative, and documentary television projects.
