Creative Rx – Wellness Through Creativity

This experiential event explores the connection between the arts, human health, and overall well-being. Discussions highlight why healthcare systems around the world recognize the arts as a vital factor in wellness, how Montage Health champions the arts locally, and the concept of “social prescribing,” in which healthcare providers prescribe arts experiences to support patient health.

Participants will take part in an exercise designed to help identify what contributes positively to their personal wellness and learn how to begin building their own social prescription.

Elizabeth Harbaugh is an arts professional with expertise in collections management, curatorial practice, and arts administration. As the Art & Music Program Manager at Montage Health in Monterey, she is dedicated to fostering human connection through art and developing programs that support creative communities. She holds both a BA and MA in Art History and has professional experience working with art non-profits, private collections, and museums.
