The 5th Annual Ocean Arts Festival

The Ocean Arts Festival is a family-friendly event that aims to heighten awareness about the ocean through the arts! It features ocean-themed visual and performing art created by over 200 visual and performing young artists under the age of 25. 

The Ocean Arts Festival celebrates the power of creativity to deepen understanding of the ocean and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards. The Ocean Arts Festival is founded on the belief that the arts have the power to generate positive change in the world. 

Festival At A Glance 
  • See ocean-themed visual and performing art created by over 200 Monterey County young artists
  • Special Guests: Masters of Ceremony Garland Thompson, former poet Laurette of Pacific Grove;
  • UC Santa Cruz scientist Peter Weiss and the Earth Rangers, singing original songs for the ocean; KAZU Radio Host, Lisa Ledin; and SpectorDance’s Amy Byington leading a Creative Movement Workshop about ocean diversity for children of all ages!
  • Information tables and art activities lead by Moss Landing Marine Lab, MEarth, Monterey SEA, and Save Our Shores
  • Enjoy La Tormento Tacos on site!
