Celebrate the holiday season at Carmel’s beloved City Holiday Tree Lighting and Carmel Plaza Holiday Party!
The festivities begin at Devendorf Park on Ocean Avenue between Junipero and Mission, where the Monterey Fire Department will deliver a special guest — Santa Claus himself! Enjoy a joyful afternoon from 3:00 to 5:30 pm featuring a music program, photos by the holiday tree, and the lighting of the menorah at 4:00 pm. At 4:30 pm, the music and dance performances begin, leading up to the tree lighting countdown at 5:30 pm with Santa and the Mayor of Carmel.
Afterward, head to the Carmel Plaza Open House on Ocean Avenue for more holiday magic until 7:00 pm — including live music, visits with Santa and Martin the Magical Elf, face painting, sweet treats, and festive children’s activities. It’s an evening of community cheer and holiday sparkle in the heart of Carmel!
