Composed during a turbulent period of his life, the concerto reveals Schumanns ability to channel profound sensitivity and beauty into music, blurring the lines between virtuosic display and heartfelt expression.
The program concludes with Mozarts final Symphony No. 41 in C major, Jupiter. The nickname reflects the works majestic character, evoking the commanding presence of the Roman god.
