In honor of its 65th anniversary and Independence Day, Carousel Candies on Old Fisherman’s Wharf will donate 10% of all sales from July 4–6, 2025, to the Veterans Transition Center (VTC) of Monterey County. Customers who shop during the holiday weekend will also receive a complimentary bag of red, white, and blue homemade salt water taffy.

“This donation is personal,” says co-owner Liz Elves, whose father was stationed at the Presidio of Monterey nearly a century ago.

A local landmark since 1960, Carousel Candies is known for its pink storefront, vintage taffy-pulling machine, and wide array of handcrafted sweets.

Proceeds will help the VTC continue its mission of supporting local veterans with housing, counseling, employment services, and more.

Stop by July 4–6 to enjoy timeless treats and support those who’ve served our country. Open daily from 10 am to 10 pm.
