Ten world premieres of chamber music works written by emerging composers! Five new works will be performed at each concert. These concerts are being presented free to the public as a gift from Hidden Valley to our community.
Concert I "A Timeless Reverie" with Saint-Saëns: Fantaisie for Violin and Harp
- Saturday, July 5 at 7:00 p.m.
- Composers: Annette Ma, Brian Chiu, Emma Cardon-Wake, Will Hermanowski and Joey O'Neill
Concert II "Originality and Authenticity" with Mozart: Piano Quartet in G minor
- Sunday, July 6 at 3:00 p.m.
- Composers: Jahan Raymond, Thejas Mirle, Isaiah Saranow, Misha Swersey and Ella Kaale
Both concerts will be performed by ECI faculty members Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu (violin & ECI director), Eunice Kim (violin), David Samuel (viola), Mihai Marcia (cello), Drew Petersen (piano) and Koni Choi (harp).
The Emerging Composers Intensive (ECI) at Hidden Valley Music Seminars brings together 10 composers for a festival of creative collaboration. Guided by renowned composition and performance faculty, participants develop new chamber works which are professionally rehearsed, performed and recorded in scenic Carmel Valley, CA.
