Monterey’s annual 4th of July Parade is a beloved tradition that attracts approximately 15,000 spectators of all ages to the streets of Old Monterey. This festive celebration features colorful floats, patriotic displays, lively costumes, and spirited marching bands. The parade begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Parade Route:
The parade starts at the corner of Alvarado Street and Pearl Street, proceeds down Alvarado, turns left onto Del Monte Avenue, then immediately left again onto Calle Principal. It continues along Calle Principal and concludes at Jefferson Street.

Recommended parking locations include the West Garage, East Garage, and Lot 7 (accessible via Pacific Avenue).
