Born in Ocozocoautla, Chiapas in 1975, the Mexican pianist has been immersed in music since childhood, launching his professional career as a teenager. Specializing in Mexican and Latin American popular repertoire, he also composes original works. His career has taken him across Mexico and on extensive tours through Europe, North America, and Central America. Aquino has shared the stage with renowned artists including Consuelo Velázquez, Roberto Cantoral, Pepe Jara, and Armando Manzanero—who produced one of his albums and famously dubbed him “El Piano de México.” This title later became the name of his fifth album, released in 2023.
