Bernardus Lodge

Bernardus Lodge opened in 1999 as the Luxury Boutique Resort in Carmel Valley. It is built in a Monterey Territorial-style, and features 57 suites arranged around croquet and bocce courts. Swimming, tennis, "warming room and pool", horticulture, viticulture and culinary education is also available for guests.  Award-winning restaurants perfectly paired with Bernardus wines, and an exquisite 5,200 square-foot spa are the star attractions here, and the entire staff is known for unusually attentive service. The winery, opened in 1989, creates wine from its own vineyards in Carmel Valley.
