Asilomar is rich in womens history, so we take celebrating Womens History Month seriously. This years festivities include a keynote address by Dr. Traci Bliss, author of Big Basin Redwood Forest: Californias Oldest State Park, which illuminates the pivotal role women played in Californias environmental conservation movement. Celebrate how the brave women of the 1920s broke boundaries by learning to dance the Charleston and Jitterbug in free workshops (1920s period attire encouraged!) Take a guided tour of Asilomars Historic Core buildings designed by Californias first female architect, Julia Morgan
