Families, children and adults will be invited to create together through hands-on Días a los Muertos-inspired art activities, including making paper flowers, masks and wearable artistic elements that can become part of the larger celebration. Participants will also be able to explore the exhibition, meet members of the HDS community and contribute creatively to the evolving installation.
José G. Ortiz will lead an intimate, interactive conversation about the roots, meaning and traditions of Días a los Muertos — not simply as a lecture, but as a conversation in which participants can ask questions, share their own experiences and talk about what remembrance, family and tradition mean to them.
