Nestled just off of Pacific Coast Highway 1 at the gateway to Big Sur, Carmel Mission Inn is inspired by the lush landscape, rich history, vibrant art scene and unique Bohemian Life that tells the story of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Our 165 guest rooms were fully renovated in early 2020 and offer the ideal blend of style and true comfort.  Some are pet friendly, others offer a balcony or private patio.  Come relax in our heated outdoor pool, soak in our hot tub and linger on the Courtyard.

You'll find two open-air shopping villages adjacent to the property featuring a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, unique boutiques, art galleries and more.  

Staffed by local experts, the Carmel Mission Inn team are curators of the unexpected offering guests unique experiences authentic to the region.  Whether you seek adventure, exploration or crave a relaxing escape, Carmel Mission Inn is where lasting memories are made.

We understand the importance of in-person meetings and are acutely aware of the need to provide a healthy environment. As you design your programs, we'd like you to know this about us:

Our 3650 sf ballroom is accessed from the open-air courtyard; no hallways to walk through and 3 entrances allow attendees to enter and exit with minimal crossover.

The 2450 sf courtyard offers ample space for outdoor registration and break areas

Smaller groups may enjoy meals on the courtyard

All space is ADA accessible, some with natural light and either mountain or pool view
