Monterey Bay Aquarium has made some important changes to ensure the health and safety of all guests.

Discover the remarkable marine life in Monterey's bay without getting wet, at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Dedicated to innovative exhibits, cutting edge marine research and ocean conservation leadership, the Monterey Bay Aquarium sets the standard for excellence around the world because of its immersive exhibits and ability to present marine life on a truly grand scale.

The former sardine cannery is now a top attraction on Monterey’s historic Cannery Row, showcasing over 35,000 sea creatures representing over 550 marine species. Must-see exhibits include the three-story Kelp Forest, million-gallon Open Sea and Splash Zone family gallery.

The aquarium is one of the best places to view Monterey’s favorite mascot, the sea otter. Guests can watch these playful critters in a two-story exhibit while they interact with each other and their respective audience – and watch sea otters and other passing wildlife, including whales, seals and sea lions off the aquarium’s ocean-view decks.

The aquarium also offers a multitude of behind-the-scenes tours, daily programs, feedings and other special events throughout the year. For tickets and discounts visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s official site.

Relax in the beautiful Monterey Bay Aquarium restaurant with spectacular ocean views. It's the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine and savor inspired seasonal dishes with selections such as Pacific Rockfish Tacos and Smoked Pork Loin. Please note seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
