Every shop in Carmel has a story. At Ami Carmel, part of that story is Gracee Blossom Joy, the boutique's official Ambassador of Good Will. Nine years ago, she was a rescue in the care of Animal Friends Rescue Project.
On Black Friday, Nov. 27, Ami Carmel will give back to the organization that brought Gracee home. The boutique hosts a special Sip, Shop, Savor & Support that day, with 20% of in-store sales, plus 20% of online sales for 24 hours, going to AFRP.
"Animal Friends Rescue Project will always have a special place in my heart," said Annee Martin, owner of Ami Carmel. "Gracee Blossom Joy, our Ambassador of Good Will, came into my life nine years ago after AFRP rescued and fostered her."
The store is open until 8 p.m., and the celebration runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Dominique pours Scheid Pinot Noir, a local white hand-chosen by Lady Somm and sparkling wine from Talbott Vineyards, and anyone who shops during those hours takes 20% off. AFRP volunteers will be there to talk about the dogs and cats waiting for homes this holiday season.
