Cordillera: two chefs, one mountain range

Long before borders, the mountains of the Americas connected people through food. Cordillera follows that thread, from the Andes to the Santa Cruz Mountains. Chef Diego Félix brings the ancestral ingredients and traditions of Andean cuisine. Chef Christina Lonewolf celebrates Indigenous Californio cooking and the pre-colonial foodways of the Central Coast. They'll cook side by side for one night only. Expect passed bites, four family-style courses, and five wines from Scratch, all served at one long table for 40 guests. Saturday, December 12, 6 p.m., at Scratch Wines in Carmel Valley. $155 per person. Seats are limited, so book early.
