Montereys Fishermans Wharf Association is continuing its popular FREE Wharf Walks with noted Monterey Bay Fisheries Historian and author Tim Thomas. These informative walks are held on the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. During the two-hour tour, Tim provides an entertaining cultural and historical exploration of Old Fishermans Wharf and Montereys historic waterfront.
Fishing boats have been an essential part of the Monterey waterfront for generations, changing over the decades along with the brave people, cultures and fisheries that helped shape Monterey Bay. During this special Wharf Walk, Tim will share stories about the different fishing boats that have worked the bay through the years and the fishermen who depended upon them for their livelihoods.
Tours meet at the head of Old Fishermans Wharf, near the pink Harbor House store at #1 Old Fishermans Wharf, Monterey.
