At il vecchio we serve traditional Italian food in the style of a Roman neighborhood trattoria. We make everything in our kitchen. Our gnocchi, pappardelle, cannelloni and pasta for the classic carbonara are made daily. We take no shortcuts ... which shows up in the authentic flavors of our classic dishes. For five years in a row we've won "best Italian restaurant" in the Monterey area. Our moderate prices reflect our desire to serve locals who want to enjoy our cooking often, rather than just on special occasions.
